Amazing Easy Chocolate Turtles and other Carmel Chocolate Candy

These are also something I made for my "She's Just About to Pop!" baby shower. It is SO SO SO easy. And you can make a lot in not a lot of time, great for any party.

I got the idea of how to do it when we went to the coast where they have far too many mouth wateringly delicious sweet shops. We were celebrating my husbands b-day and his treat choice was cashew almond bark, which was just melted almond bark on top of some cashews. The price: REDICULOUS. We bought it anyways but I told myself I would make my own for a lot less!

Here it is!

All you need is:

Nuts
Carmel (I just used the individually wrapped squares)
Almond bark (I used chocolate and vanilla)

For this batch I made little piles of nuts on some wax paper and use just a bit of non stick spray. I've also made them in the mini muffin pans, though I don't recommend using the paper cups if you do, the carmel sticks.
Melt the carmel. Heat in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between. You'll have to be careful because while you want it pourable you don't want it so hot it makes the carmel hard. (yeah, I've done that)

Then using a spoon pour on the piles of nuts, a little or a lot, it's all up to you.
Now it's chocolate time! You'll want to melt your almond bark the same way in the microwave. For vanilla you'll want it in 15 second intervals because it can burn much faster than regular chocolate. Just pour over the carmel and nuts.
Done! I drizzled chocolate on the tops. It hides any imperfections. But with chocolate and carmel could there be any imperfections?

I did this by putting the melted chocolate in a ziplock back and cutting a tiny hole at the end. It makes a great makeshift decorating tool.
