Mothers Day is less than a month away and I'm still trying to figure out what to do for my mom. We'll see what I can come up with!
This year I was asked by my church's Young Women group to do a couple activities and this is one I have done in years past with different groups that I am doing again. The girls (and their moms) LOVED it. It's one of those tear jerker sort of presents moms love. I call it the "10 Things I Love About My Mom Book".
Making these books were VERY easy. I took some scrap chipboard and cut it to 6x3. You could also use cardboard or whatever you have on hand, just make sure it's sturdy. I then cut 10 pages from cardstock to 5.75 x 2.5 for the inside pages. Punch two holes on the sides for the loose leaf binder rings (you have NO idea how long it took me to figure out what those things were called!) and you're done, with the book that is.For the activity I brought some scrapbook paper, because like most crafters I had more than enough to spare, along with some embellishment like buttons, ribbon, flowers.... I cut the numbers out with my cricut but you could use stickers, chipboard, or a good old fashion pen. I had all the girls bring glue sticks/glue and scissors then let them have at it! When they went home they filled it out and gave it to their moms. It was a lot of fun and this type of activity could be used for Father's Day, Valentines Day, Christmas....whatever you can think of.
What a great idea! I've done that for Valentine's day, but never thought about it for a Mom, thanks for the idea!
