The Next Generation

I decided it was finally time to pass on my legacy of crafting to my two year old son. While I was at the dollar store I saw some watercolors and got the idea to do a craft kit for him (and his little brother who isn't quite ready but will be soon enough).

So I got a bucket and filled it with construction paper, glue sticks, watercolors, google eyes, foam stickers, popcicle sticks, pipe cleaners, two aprons, even added the egg dye containers from Easter for water. He was so excited to see it all and wanted to try everything, but we settled for testing out the water colors first. All I can say is he LOVED everything about it. A craft kit is a super easy thing to do to encourage creativity at any age. I keep it up high so it is something I can be around to supervise. Also it is a good activity for those rainy days or when you want to do something different than your standard activities. Here is his very first picture, one of many I'm sure!If anyone has a great idea for a fun kid craft, let me know! I'm excited to craft it up with my little man!

  1. Hello! I found your blog via Women Who Do It All; I saw the tissue paper pompoms (had made my own the other day for a 1st b-day party) and HAD to check your blog out. LOVE the turtles and the lollipop topiary. Following you now!
