Chugging Along

I was just looking at a bunch of my favorite blogs thinking about all the fun stuff I haven't posted yet. I have a ton of projects done, pictures taken, in the works and ideas that are all coming along s-l-o-w-l-y. I just wish there were more hours in the day but I try to remind myself about sticking to the most important things and letting the rest fall into place where they may. My babies are only little once you know.

Speaking of important things, today is my Max's 2nd birthday!!! I can't believe it, and I've been working hard on getting his party together. It's been in the works for months and we're almost ready to go for a crazy, fun filled weekend. I think it's going to be great, pictures to come (soon I hope!)
I've been slowing things down in my shop to work on the party and spend some time with the boys, because the sun has finally decided to visit Oregon. You got to take what you can get. Also I have a ton of big orders to fill and I'm almost caught up with it all. I just finished these YW value necklaces for a group of YW going off to girls camp. I sure miss those days.
Here is my last big order to fill, a huge wedding order for a bunch of these earrings, aren't they fun? It reminds me of sitting on the beach in the summer time. I think I'm long overdue for a trip. But it will probably have to wait till I finish this order.
And lastly a question for anyone with any sort of opinion on the matter. I am thinking about getting a Silhouette machine but am a little torn. I have a Cricut, the small one, I bought years ago when they first started and have a bunch of cartridges. I use it semi often but sometimes don't because I don't have the image/font I want and don't want to pay for a whole cartridge. Which is why I'm thinking about the Silhouette. What to do, what to do? A crafters dilemma.

On the good side, both boys are napping, at the same time. It's a regular miracle around here. Better get some stuff done.

  1. I love those earrings! Just gorgeous.

I have a Silhouette and I l-o-v-e it. Love. Can't even tell you how much I love it! Even with my moderately limited graphics skills, I am able to make just about anything I want -- the shapes from the store are only $1 (and sometimes go on sale) and I can usually find clipart or a coloring page online in the shapes I want and then just trace it. And it's great for cutting paper, cardstock, fabric, vinyl, heat transfer -- just about anything! My Silhouette has totally changed the way I craft because I can do just about anything I want in any medium :) So, I say GO for it!
