When I first started opened my etsy store it was more to pay for my hobbies and to have some fun jewelry more than anything else. I never thought I would be at where I am now with my store. Yipes! Somedays I think about it and am taken aback at the fact that people PAY me for something I made and I get to do something I love. Because of it, I have been able to quit my job I had at a law firm out of my house in my 'free time'(it was really only a quarter time job working 2-4 hours a day, but in mommy land, that's a lot). This has de-stressed my life a lot and now I have the flexibility I need being a busy mom with two very active boys. And it's something I want to do, rather than have to do.
Just last week I reached my 1,000 sales mark. I still can't believe it as I write it. So to celebrate I am giving away a $50 gift certificate for anything at my store. That's right. Go nuts, get some Christmas shopping done early or get some thing nice for yourself. I MIGHT even give away 2 gift certificates, one to celebrate my October b-day! We'll see how I'm feeling......
To enter:
1.) Just leave me a comment telling me something great you did that you never thought you could. Please leave me your e-mail address. I have had people win in the past I had no way of telling them they won! That would be sad.
For more entries you can (yes, shameless self promotion, but the first entry is free for all!!!):
Please leave a separate comment for each entry!
2.) Visit my etsy shop and tell me what you would get if you won.
3.) Become a follower on Facebook
4.) Become a follower of my blog
5.) Post my button on your blog (you can find the code on my blog)
Details, details.
Contest goes for one whole week and ends Monday October 25th at midnight.
Hey!! I am entering, because who wouldn't? I'm so proud of your 1000 sales! It's amazing.
ReplyDeletesomething I never thought I'd do--get married! But somehow your little brother is crazy enough to like me. (:
Also, I would get this, I think...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.etsy.com/listing/57690208/fallen-oak-leaf-sterling-silver-necklace
or this...http://www.etsy.com/listing/56103025/mother-earth-antique-brass-leaf-bracelet
But it's hard to decide.... I guess I'd get a few things! (:
Earlier this summer I had to make a presentation to a group of about 50. I was scared senseless! But I did it, and honestly, it wasn't so bad.
ReplyDeleteThe snow globe earrings. Just got my ears pierced and think they'd be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI went four months without walking on my left leg. I never thought I'd make it, I thought I'd die before the end of my time on crutches, but I made it. I also never thought I could run a half marathon, but I did it!
ReplyDeleteI follow you on facebook...and I need to tell you what jewelery I really like! I'm really digging the honey pot brass bracelet today, and the brass leafy bracelets, all of them! You do such a good job Kendra!
ReplyDeleteAnd lastly, I have a button for your shop on my blog because I love your stuff that much!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many beautiful things to choose from in the shop! One thing for sure that I would choose is the Sterling Silver All A Twitter necklace. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

ReplyDeleteAlmost two years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatige Syndrome. I worried that I wouldn't be able to complete my GCSE's, I pulled out of school and was put on the waiting list for home tuition. I went without education for over six months, some days I struggled to even sit up.
However last january I started improving. I began home tuition and joined a virtual classroom online. At the begining of this school year I went in for a textiles lesson. Thats something I never thought I could!
Im now taking six GCSEs, including art and textiles, and am planning to continue on the take fashion and textiles in college. Im not yet better, but Im slowly getting there (:

Oh, and something I didn't think I could do? Raise six kids to be independant and normal in this society. THey've all done good for themselves...three happily married, two still in college..and one goodlooking single lad looking for the right woman!

Giving speeches is something I despise doing (I even dropped the class the first time I signed up because I was way too scared!), but I decided to get over my fear and hit the course head on! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I actually ended up having a good time!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so unbelievably gorgeous that I have no idea which to pick as my favorite! I gave a speech in front of about 200 people. Kinda scary but exhilarating!

I'd get the My Family Tree - Aqua Chalcedony and Silver Branch Earrings for myself, and I'd let my friend pick out something too.

I would get the "Personalized Silver Leaf Gemstone and Pearl Necklace," the "Bubbles - Sterling Silver Necklace," and also perhaps the "Connected - Sterling Silver Interlocking Rings Necklace" as a gift!

I've started working on creating my own business. Never in a million years would I have guessed I'd want to be an entrepreneur . . . but I do! I'm very excited even though it's a lot of work on top of my 9-5. Totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteI got my bachelors degree when I was 50 years old... something that I never thought I would accomplish!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the give away!

I made a dress thats wearable and it fits, with out using patterns or anything, that was something I did not think I could accomplish.

I would buy the silver bow necklace for myself and spend the rest of the gift certificate choosing Christmas presents for friends.

I've had a lot of personal triumphs in the last few years - the best story-maker though is of the time I tried to run a marathon, but fractured both of my shins in the process. I still managed to limp out half of the distance (about 13 miles) so I consider that a massive accomplishment!
