March Birthstone - Aquamarine

March's birthstone is aquamarine. If you can't guess from the name it has a light blue color, ranging from a sea green to light sky blue. The sky blue variation is the most popular.

March birthstones are supposed to bring calmness to the wearer. Traditionally sailors would use aquamarine as a talisman to protect them while sailing and to keep the seas calm. 

The blue color is perfect for spring and summer.
